My last days in Spain…

Sorry it has been so long since my last post! I am sitting here, finally, with some free time my last day in Spain! I am so sad to be leaving. It has truly been such a great time and I have met so many great people. At the same time I can’t wait to get back to the states! I miss everyone so much and I miss good food : )

So, for the past week or two I have just been going to school and last weekend we made yet another trip to San Sebastian! We were going to try and get up to Bearitz (in France) for a day or so, but it didn’t end up working out. It was fun though…it was the end of Semana Grande in San Sabastian so it was basically like a giant 24 hour/day party! Can’t complain : ) We also got some really good weather on Saturday so we rented some surfboards and caught some waves. Sunday was basically a hurricane, so that was fun!

The last week has been a lot of fun.  When we returned from San Sab, we celebrated yet another birthday…Zack’s 21st. Since it was a Monday, we just went out to dinner. It was a good time. Lindsay wore her new Spanish style pantalones…¡Que Guay!

The last week in the residence was pretty depressing…I won’t lie. It rained a lot and we are all so poor by this point that the food we ate was a bit…well cheap I suppose : ) No, it was a really fun last week, but we are all really poor.

But, a few of us did go out to a traditional Asturian dinner on La Calle Gascona (Sidra Street). It turns out that all of this wine I have been drinking has made me quite the wine connoisseur.

It soon came time to say goodbye to everyone at school. I graduated! Twice! and we had a little celebratory Espicha afterwards. I got to say goodbye to my wonderful teachers and my class!

It has been such an amazing summer! I have learned so much about Spain, Spanish, the world, and myself! I can’t wait to return to  Europe and  go to all of the places that I couldn’t fit into this trip: ) But, I really miss everyone back in the states and can’t wait to get back! I will be in San Diego on the 30th and back in the EUG on the 4th! I can’t wait to see everyone and I especially can’t wait to finally meet the newest Robertson! I will leave you all with what I left with…a toasted Pincho! ¡Besos para todos!
