My vacation in San Diego

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

When I arrived in San Diego Joey was waiting for me with flowers, because he is wonderful. This was the fist time Joey and I would be able to spend more than 10 days in a row together in pretty much exactly a year, so I was really excited. Plus, its fun to visit San Diego. I stayed with John, Co and Timmy and had a great time. Its crazy because Timmy seems so much bigger than the last time I saw him…and he is 10 no which is old. But he is still a wierdo so that’s good. He is totally a Dehnert.

Joey still had to work and go to school so I spent a lot of time by myself, which isn’t so bad. I went to the beach a lot and got a ridiculous sun burn, and I read a lot which I love. All in all it was a very relaxing time. I also got to hang out with a couple of my young life girls which was really fun.

Joey decided that because I am going to be in Spain for my birthday we would celebrate it one month early on June 23…so much fun! He took me shopping at Urban Outfitters (of course) and American Apparel, his dad made an amazing dinner, and Joey (by himself) made me a funfetti cake that was delicious! All in all it was a really good birthday.

Joey and I before netless tennis… Puerto NuevoWhen Joey and I did spend time together we went to movies, rented movies, played Mario Party 8, played 3-card, went running a lot, and tried to play tennis with no net.

We also got to go to Puerto Nuevo the night before I left for the best lobster ever!!! I over-stuffed myself and could barely move but it was worth it.

I also got the pleasure of cutting Joey’s hair, I did a terrible job of course, but his clippers suck also. Joey also got some pretty sweet sunglasses while at Urban, and an awesome watch.

It was sad to leave Joey again, because I feel like that is all we seem to do…but I am so excited for this trip, not only because I am going to Spain for 2 months (which is enough to be excited for) but also because it marks the end of Joey living in San Diego. It is, needless to say, surreal to think that when I get back in September Joey will already be done with college and moved into his condo that he owns! So crazy!

Well, now I am off to Spain…literally sitting in the airport. I will post as much as I can. I love you all!
